Who We Are

Scrabble Kenya is celebrating its silver Jubilee this year(2015)and it has grown in leaps and bound during its existence.Its among the top giants in Africa and it has also helped to grow the game by intoducing the game to other African countries.The organisation was founded in 1990 under the brand name KASA.
The world championships was started in 1991 and was held bi annually, the 1st championship was held in UK, the second in USA, the third in UK the fourth in USA ,the fifth was in Malaysia. As a country, Kenya has had very good rankings in the world championship. In 1995 Kenya was ranked No. 1 worldwide.
There are 12 or more national competitions in our yearly calendar being held in various cities in the counties such as Nairobi, Machakos, Nakuru, Murang’a, Busia and Eldoret. Regional championships for Africa are held every year and the worst Kenya has ever been ranked is No. 2, in the East and Central African championship Kenya has always been ranked No. 1.

What We Do

Scrabble is part of recreation and an extension of education with a build up of English vocabulary. We are appealing to have this game brought to schools though its already in colleges and Universities such as Kenyatta, Nairobi, JKUAT, Moi, Strathmore, Daystar, Technical University of Kenya & Masinde Muliro Universities. Upcoming Secondary Schools include Riabai Boys,Sunshine Secondary School, NPC BuruBuru among others.
Corporate sponsorship will help this educative game reach the furthest conners of our country, this will have a huge impact in raising the education standards of school children to greater heights. There are various types of boards that are affordable, you can buy one for your kids, two for that school you want to see grow and three for yourself, your boss and definitely the youth in your neighbourhood.
